The Book Plate Art Project is coming to Redlands City Council Libraries in June 2025. Artists with a connection to the Redlands Coast are commissioned to create a series of small artworks responding to a book or stories. The commissioned artists for the Book Plate Art Project – Redlands are Michael Zavros, Delvene Cockatoo-Collins, Renata Buziak, Kara Rosenlund, Mahala Burns, and Budla Malu (Mikayla Queary & Jhavon Auda). These artists will be joined by the creative community to make book plate artworks for readers to find and keep at Redland Libraries.
This project is supported by a RADF grant. The Regional Arts Development Fund is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Redlands City Council to support local arts and culture in Regional Queensland.
